Bromley Mind is a dynamic, successful provider of mental health and dementia care services with a reputation locally and nationally for quality and innovation. Success in business development has enabled us to continue to grow despite a challenging financial climate.
Working with our experienced Board of Trustees and senior management colleagues, you will provide strategic leadership and management for some 100 enthusiastic and professional staff and almost as many volunteers. You will be an ambassador for our charity, maintaining relationships and building our profile.
Key responsibilities include
- Working with the Chair and other Trustees on strategy and governance
- Leading and managing the organisation, making best use of human, financial and other resources
- Communicating our purpose and values and engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Promoting our charity to the wider public to increase awareness of and support for our work
You will have a strong track record in senior management in health or social care and in business development with experience in resource and change management. You will have total commitment to the people we serve and understand the political and policy context in which we work. You will be an excellent communicator, able to enthuse and motivate people within and outside our organisation.

Lewisham Dementia Information and Support Service
Specialist dementia provider MindCare has recently begun delivering this exciting new service for people with dementia in Lewisham. The service is delivered in close partnership with the Lewisham Memory Service.
Dementia Advisor (BME Communities Lead)
£25,000 p.a. • 37.5 hours per week • London Borough of Lewisham
Our Dementia Advisors are the heart of the service, providing person-centred advice, information and support. We are seeking someone with good communication, assessment and support planning skills to join our friendly and motivated staff team. As the Black and Minority Ethnic Communities Lead for the service, the successful applicant must also have relevant experience and the ability to build strong links with BME groups.
