Director

Salary: NJC Scale PO4 41-44 £37,848 – £40,505 pro-rata’d

28 hours per week (4 days a week)

Contract to 31 May 2012 - extendable if further funding secured

An exciting opportunity to lead on the strategic development of volunteering across London to ensure meaningful, accessible and inclusive volunteering activity.

You will influence on behalf of, communicate to and from, capacity-build and coordinate the membership to support and increase volunteering activity across Greater London.

Ensure London continues to have a voice for volunteering and develop the sustainability of the work of Greater London Volunteering and its members.

Income Generation Manager

Salary: NJC Scale PO4 41-44 £37,848 - £40,505 pro-rata’d

7 hours per week (1 day a week)

Contract to 31 May 2012 - extendable, if further funding secured

Wanted - one proactive, energetic person with business acumen, creativity and drive to develop the sustainable future of GLV as the regional partnership body for volunteering support services across Greater London.

You will focus on generating income and resources (e.g. facilities, people) through fundraising, securing sponsorship, attracting investment and organising income generating events.

Development Officer – user led organisation

Salary: Approximately £30,000 pro-rata
Location: Flexible
Hours: Negotiable (20 hours minimum)
Reporting to: Programme Manager – Supporting Independence in Bromley
Main Purpose

To work with the Expert by Experience Group (X by X) to develop a user led organisation with a clearly defined role which supports the choice and control of disabled people and carers
To develop the project to expand revenue raising opportunities and ensure the sustainability of the group.

Main duties and responsibilities

Research and advise X by X members and stakeholders on how to establish a user led organisation in Bromley with an understanding of the different roles and models
Develop a business case which includes how the organisation will be financially viable and sustained over the long term
To produce a development plan with timescales for establishing an independent user led organisation and a clear understanding of its purpose
Research grant funding that may be available to user led organisations, present to the group and make applications on behalf of the group
Work with X by X to undertake a mapping and gapping exercise, through meetings and liaison with other key stakeholders
Build up the capacity of the group and ensure it represents diversity in membership to the fullest extent
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all relevant stakeholders – including disabled people’s and carer’s organisations, disabled people and statutory organisations
Support the development and implementation of project communications and marketing strategies that will promote understanding and awareness of the user led organisation
Perform all research and administrative work required to develop and deliver the user led organisation
Undertake any duties that may reasonably be required by the group

The closing dates for applications will be 6th June 2011, with a view to the interviews taking place on the 13th June.
