The meetings will take place as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 8 November - Civic Centre, Stockwell Close BR1 3UH
Evening meetings – all to be held between 7.30pm – 9pm

Date: Wednesday, 23 November - Civic Centre. Stockwell Close, BR1 3UH
Date: Monday, 28 November - Citygate Church, Rectory Road, Beckenham, BR3 1AA
The Leader of the Council, Stephen Carr said:
“These are difficult times with tough choices to be made. Last year we had to save an unprecedented £22 million and hearing people’s priorities was invaluable as we made difficult decisions. Over the next three years, we have to make more than £30 million savings and it is vital that we keep listening to as many views as possible and discuss openly the choices we are going to have to make about the services we provide and how we provide them. The country faces a huge deficit and the way we do things will have to change but this Council exists to serve our people and I am determined that whatever the challenge, together with the people of Bromley, we will keep Building a Better Bromley for the good of this borough and our future.
We are also conscious that while times are challenging for everyone, Bromley doesn’t get a fair deal in terms of its funding and we are talking to the Government to ask them to address this issue.”
To ensure people are as well informed as possible, Bromley Council will be posting up-to-date information about the 2012-13 budget and other relevant financial information on www.bromley.gov.uk/publicmeetings a week before the first meeting where you can also find details of the meetings. Or you can call 020 8464 3333.
