The Young Achievers Trust – award nominations now open
The Young Achievers Trust is pleased to announce that the 2011 Young Achievers Awards are now open for nominations.
Through these Awards, the Young Achievers Trust celebrates and supports the outstanding contribution of young people working to make their communities a better place across the following four categories: arts, environment, community and sport.
If you know an exceptional young volunteer and would like to find out more about our Awards and to make a nomination directly through our website, please go to www.youngachieversawards.org.
Every year, the City of London Corporation runs the Sustainable City Awards in collaboration with a number of other partners. These awards are designed to highlight good practice in corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
The City Bridge Trust assists one of the Livery Companies, the Worshipful Company of Patternmakers, with the award category entitled “Greening the Third Sector”. This category, specifically for voluntary and community groups across London, aims to reward organisations that have made significant improvements in their environmental practices by reducing waste, using energy and water more efficiently and cutting down on transport and resource use.
We very much hope that you will submit an application for this award. The application documentation is all online and can be found at www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/sca.
This year's Compact Week is taking place between Monday 7 and Friday 11 November. Visit the website to access resources and find out how to get involved.
