Alzheimer's Society - Dementia Support Manager (Bromley)

The Alzheimer's Society is the leading care and research charity for people with any form of dementia, their carers and families. Dementia affects over 750,000 people in the UK alone and numbers continue to grow.
The post-holder will be responsible for managing our Dementia Support team assisting carers in the Bromley area. In addition, the Dementia Support Manager will take an active role in delivering information and support services, which will assist people with dementia and their carers to remain independent.
We are seeking to appoint someone with experience of managing a team providing high quality services preferably in a health and social care environment. It is important to have an understanding of the issues affecting people with dementia and specifically their carers along with experience of supporting vulnerable adults. An understanding of the statutory and voluntary sector will be beneficial.
An ability to travel independently around the area is essential. The post will involve working in people's homes or in a range of community settings including group facilitation and a CRB disclosure will be required for this post.

Childminding Network Development Co-ordinator
Salary £23,035 (pro rata £13,074) + 5% pension
21hrs per week
Initial 2 year contract
Our successful NCMA approved Childminding Networks have been established for 15 years and support registered childminders to offer specialised care to meet the needs of children with disabilities. In line with the “Aiming High for Disabled Children” government agenda, we wish to increase the number of places on the Network and require a Co-ordinator to support the Senior Network Co-ordinator. You will need knowledge of childminding or child care in Early Years settings and preferably have worked with disabled children. You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to work flexibly. Training will be provided.

Finance Assistant

We require an Assistant to support the Finance Officer. You will need knowledge of bookkeeping, be able to use Word and Excel spreadsheets and preferably have experience of working with SAGE. You will need to be able to work accurately, independently and flexibly.

Project Coordinator
As part of an exciting and well-established programme encouraging Employer-Supported Volunteering, Volunteer Centre Southwark is recruiting a Project Coordinator for a six-month period to carry out the scoping for a new ESV project focused on a specific area.
£25,520 (pro rata) Based at Elephant and Castle (SE1).
During this scoping phase, you will spend time with the businesses funding the Project finding out about their Community Involvement aims and existing programmes and you will spend time in Southwark and at the Volunteer Centre, investigating which geographical areas within the borough would most benefit, and which have the relevant infrastructure and potential partners to deliver the project.
You will need to have experience of volunteering and / or experience of an employer-supported volunteering service and the voluntary and community sectors. A self-motivated team player that is flexible, with a natural ability to deal with customers and other stakeholders for the effective and smooth functioning of the programme. You must possess good communication, research and organisational skills.

We are looking for a person to work in our community support service in the London Borough of Bromley. This service provides flexible support in people’s home environment. You will be working with people who have a range of needs, supporting them on their unique recovery journey. You will have an NVQ level 3 in Care or a willingness to achieve it; experience of working with the vulnerable people and the ability to communicate effectively.
RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER
Starting Salary: £18,912 p.a. (37.5 hrs per week)
We are recruiting people to work in registered care homes in the London Borough of Bromley. You will be working with people to achieve and maintain their maximum potential for independent living in the community, leading a life that they choose and value. You will have an NVQ level 2 in Care or a willingness to achieve it and the ability to communicate effectively.
