Magpie Dance is an inclusive contemporary dance company and has carved out a national reputation for its exciting and inspiring approach to inclusive and creative dance. At the forefront of dance for learning disabled people, Magpie seeks to unlock individual potential and ability, giving people the space to make their own choices and to take ownership of what they achieve.
Magpie Dance seeks a highly skilled and experienced Administrator to support the General Manager with the day to day running of the company. The company has a very busy and exciting year ahead! The post is based at Magpie’s office at The Churchill Theatre, Bromley, and is 20 hours a week (4 hours a day, during office hours), Monday to Friday (employed status). You will have a minimum of 2 years proven administration experience, exceptional communication and IT skills, good organisational and time management and be able to hit the ground running.

We are looking for an experienced leader and manager with the skills to take forward our diverse services. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for service delivery across the organisation, and play a central role in the strategic and business development of Bromley Mind.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have a strong track record in senior management, including leading service and project development, supervising and developing staff. You will have specific experience in providing services for people with mental health needs and/or dementia, preparing tenders and/or funding bids and leading teams through service transformation.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to enthuse and motivate people within and outside our organisation.

Lewisham Dementia Information and Support Service
Bromley Mind works to enhance and enrich the quality of life of people with mental health needs and dementia. Bromley Mind’s Specialist dementia provider MindCare is delivering an exciting new service for people with dementia in Lewisham. The service is delivered in close partnership with the Lewisham Memory Service
Volunteer Co-ordinator
£14,400 p.a. • 22.5 hours per week
• 2 year fixed term contract •London Borough of Lewisham
The Co-ordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training and providing initial support to volunteers delivering a range of individual and group support to people with dementia accessing the Lewisham Memory Service (LMS) provision. In doing this they will draw on Bromley Mind’s extensive experience in supporting volunteers.
The working days for this post will be Monday, Tuesday and either Thursday or Friday.

Duties will primarily involve email responses to volunteer enquiries and inputting organisations and opportunities onto our database. He/she will also assist with general office duties, telephone enquiries and administrative support for our Drop-In service.
The successful candidate will need to have at least one year’s experience of office administration. They will be proficient in using Microsoft Word and emails with preferably some experience of Excel spreadsheets. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work on their own initiative will also be required. Training on our in-house database will be provided.
We are looking for someone to work during our core hours of 10.00am – 4.00pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We intend to seek funding to continue this post beyond 31st March if possible.

Centre Manager Relate Bromley
Hours of work - 26 hour per week, by arrangement, with a salary range of £18,942 - £21,542 depending on experience.
Relate Bromley plays a key role in the community, helping local people to build better couple and family relationships. We are looking for a Centre Manager to lead our team of staff, counsellors and volunteers, balancing a commitment to the ethos of the charity with sound business judgement and strategic planning.
Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the Centre Manager will lead the organisation through a period of development to ensure our Centre continues to provide relationship support, and that over time broader sections of the local community are able to access our services.
The ideal candidate will:
- be passionate about helping individuals, couples and families, and become a strong advocate for Relate's work, building relationships with key partners and funders.
- will have the experience to manage and lead a collaborative team of 3 part-time staff, 16 counsellors and 20 volunteers.
- have strong management skills and play a key role in helping the Centre respond to changes across the wider Relate federation, developing best practice and managing an organisation that provides high quality, customer focused services.
Relate Bromley is committed to helping individuals to improve their relationships, creating a safe space to talk and listen with experienced counsellors who will provide non judgemental support. Last year our counsellors saw over 2,200 individuals. Couples and families come to the Centre, or use our outreach services for many reasons from struggling with financial pressures to sexual problems to domestic violence.
