Volunteer recruitmentDo you recruit, manage, supervise and match volunteers for a befriending or mentoring project?

We will be hosting the 2nd Befriending Co-ordinators’ Network meeting on Tuesday 26th September 2017, 10am - 12 noon at Community House, South Street, Bromley BR1 1RH.

This is a chance to meet and share good practice with other individuals delivering befriending or mentoring programmes.

The focus for the session is on training opportunities and the potential for sharing generic training.

On Tuesday 18th July: Our Healthier Bromley

Our Healthier Bromley public event july 18 2017

Bromley Central Library, High Street, Bromley, BR1 1EX, Tuesday 18th July from 1pm-4pm

An event for residents to find out more about plans for local health and care services in Bromley and across south east London.You can register here or just drop in on the day.

The event will cover the main areas of focus of the Our Healthier South East London (OHSEL) programme, including community-based care, digital, and mental health.

Local health leaders will be on hand to answer questions and discuss what these plans will mean in Bromley.

You can visit stalls covering how services in Bromley are changing, including mental health, community based care and urgent and emergency care. You will be able to walk around these different areas and spend as much or as little time as you like finding out more information and asking questions.

At the end of the event, a panel of local clinicians and experts will answer some of the questions raised during the session.

1pm - 3pm      Market place – walk around, find out about our plans, share your views.

3pm – 4pm     Question and answer - panel of local clinicians and leaders from across NHS and care services will answer questions.

Refreshments will be provided.

on Tuesday 11 July 2017 1.30-5pm.

Free, half day event and taster session to introduce a programme of impact and outcomes training.

Suitable for anyone working or volunteering for a charity, community group or social enterprise in the London Borough of Bromley. This event will provide an overview of the training and support to be delivered by Community Links Bromley and expert trainers in the field, over the next 12 months.

  • How to measure and demonstrate your impact and outcomes
  • How to use digital tools to capture and illustrate impact and outcomes
  • Methods to help engage communities that experience exclusion and discrimination

Monday 22 May 10am - 12 noon: Do you provide services or activities for elderly people and their carers in Bromley?

If you're providing services or activities for older people in the London Borough of Bromley or in neighbouring boroughs, we’d like to invite you to a meeting about a new information database called Connect Well Bromley.

Where: Community House, South Street, Bromley BR1 1RH

When: Monday 22nd May 2017, 10am – 12 noon.

Funded by NHS Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group, the Connect Well Database provides details of non-medical services/activities for older people and their carers which will be searchable by health and other professionals.  If your organisation is providing such services, come along and find out how to get involved and register your activities on the database.
