BASIS Project
What is the Project?
The Big Lottery Fund project is called the Bromley Advice, Signposting and Information Service (BASIS). The project will allow Community Links Bromley to provide a range of practical services, grounded in the needs of the local voluntary sector:
- Full time information, communications and membership services, providing tailored information on the latest changes and developments in the sector
- •Access to a range of high quality support and advice services – including fundraising and financial management
- More effective use of new media, including a searchable directory of local voluntary and community organisations on a revamped website
- A redefined membership package to help groups access more support services to benefit your organisation
- A policy & networks service, providing groups with news, updates and briefings on policies and plans affecting the voluntary sector
- A support service for voluntary sector forums and networks, including information and support services in recruiting new members
- A recruitment and mentoring programme for individuals joining multi agency partnerships.
The project is due to run for 3 years. The service will prioritise work with under-represented groups, including those with one or no staff and those sectors of the community not already accessing our services.
CLB has recruited Philippa Leary a full time Membership, Information and Communications officer and Stephen Blann Policy and Networks officer (4 days per week).
