You can use a blank supervision form to help you prepare, if you wish. During the meeting You will be given time to talk about your work, your successes and any problems. You will discuss with your manager progress on achieving your targets and completing your work plan. If you are to get the most out of the meeting, you need to be honest and open to ideas. If you see particular problems, try and come with suggested solutions too. By the end of the meeting, you should be clear about how you are getting on and what is expected of you next. If you are not clear about anything, ask your manager. After the meeting Your manager will give you a copy of the notes of the supervision meeting within 2 working days if he/she can. If you are happy with the notes then sign them and a copy will be given to you to keep. If you are not happy with the notes you can discuss them further with your manager. If you still disagree, you should write on the form the areas you do not agree with. Remember though that you are expected to follow reasonable management instructions, even if you do not agree with them.
