Children and Young People
Periodically Community Links Bromley run training for organisations working with children and young people. We do this in partnership with the Bromley Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum.
Bromley Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum
The Bromley Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum is an umbrella organisation that represents all of the different groups and organisations within the Borough of Bromley who work or volunteer in the voluntary sector with children, young people and/or their families.
The forum is funded by the Children and Young People's Trust, within the local authority. The aim is to bring all these groups together to work in partnership with the Children's Trust to make sure that the 'Every Child Matters' outcomes are being met.
To ensure the forum's voice is effective, members of our executive committee sit on all the Children's Trust strategy groups and other council led meetings. The Bromley Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum regularly consults with its members to put forward their views.
Benefits of joining this forum
- It is free!
- You receive regular information about training available to the voluntary sector, which is often provided free of charge. For example, training in safeguarding children, drug awareness etc.
- You will be notified of opportunities for funding circulated to our members
- Your views can be represented at borough level
- We hold four open meetings each year at which we invite speakers from both the statutory and voluntary sector.
