Volunteering Opportunites
Voluntary organisations always need volunteers and the Volunteer Centre Bromley can match your skills with the organisations that need them.
Volunteering can take many forms:
- Administration, fundraising, marketing or being a committee member/trustee
- Shopping, driving, gardening or DIY for sick, elderly or disabled people
- Working with people or organisations who support vulnerable individuals
- Supporting people in education, numeracy and literacy
Volunteering requires time and commitment, but it can bring many rewards, such as new friends, personal satisfaction, confidence building and work experience.

Get on Board - becoming a trustee
Voluntary and community organisations all need trustees or committee members to run the organisation. People with a range of skills and experiences are needed to contribute to the planning and running of an organisation.
The level of commitment can vary from one organisation to another but generally you would be required to attend regular monthly or bi-monthly meetings, often in the evening, and carry out other tasks that would match your skills or knowledge.

Please read our introductory Guide to trusteeship and the Charity Commission leaflet Thinking of Becoming a Charity Trustee?
