State of the Sector survey
The voluntary and community sector in Bromley today
As reported at the recent Community Links Annual General meeting we are pleased to be launching the latest State of the Sector Survey.
With your input we aim to create a snapshot of the shape and size of our local sector today, capturing details on organisational turnover, how you're feeling about pressing issues such as premises or commissioning, and what you'd like to see change.
The work will enable us to provide an accurate baseline of the local voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in the Borough; and to inform and contribute to the Bromley Market Position Statement
The work will:
- State of the Sector - To support evidence-based commissioning – informing commissioners of the capacity of the local VCSE sector, to have a better understanding of the different localities within the Borough and to identify possible gaps and inequalities.
- Bromley Well – Building on the previous asset map undertaken in 2016, it will provide a comparison and highlight any significant trends which can inform the future provision of the primary and secondary intervention and prevention services.
- Workforce development – contribute to relevant plans and strategies e.g. re recruitment of volunteers, placement opportunities etc.
- Public information – providing information about the sector (its skills, knowledge and activities) supports the preventative approach, enabling residents to engage with non-statutory support. It will provide a resource for community care navigators.
We would like to thank you in advance for taking the time complete the survey, despite other competing pressures for your time. Without you there can be no report!
