"Magpie Dance is the UK’s leading dance charity for people with learning disabilities. We believe that a learning disability should not be a barrier to personal and artistic success. Through dance, our participants gain life, social and communication skills with added health and wellbeing benefits. Our services are open to anyone from age three and up with no upper age limit. Sessions usually take place at various venues around South London and Kent. Like many organisations, the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in us amending the delivery of our services, hence the launch of our online Holiday School.

We are thrilled that we are now able to offer sessions to a wider audience through taking our Holiday School online. Participants can join in from the safety and security of their own home, all they need is internet access. 

Those who join will have the chance to work with our fabulous facilitators and marvellous musicians to share ideas, create new dances and celebrate our 35th anniversary; learning some iconic dance moves from 1985 through until 2020! They’ll also have a chance to shine, starring in our very own Makaton Dance video of Justin Timberlake’s "Can’t Stop the Feelin'"!

• Time: 10.30am - 3.00pm
• Cost: £10 per day or £25 for the 3-day course
• Extra Information: Suitable for people aged 8 - 25 with learning disabilities
