PHE London: Beyond the Data - One year on focus groups
Tuesday 22 June 2021
16:30 to 18:30
Date and time: 22nd June 2021, 4.30pm – 6.30pm
Location: Microsoft Teams
PHE London & health system partners would like to invite you to a focus group meeting to discuss health inequalities and COVID-19 in the context of the communities that you represent.
'We recognise your contributions, leadership and insights in this area and therefore would be delighted if you would join us for this important discussion.'
The purpose of this discussion will:
Allow for an opportunity to reflect on London’s approach to tackling inequalities since the publication of the Beyond the Data report: Understanding the impact of COVID-19 on BAME groups (June 2020) and to hear examples of how the activities that have been implemented have affected Londoners. These insights will be combined with data analysis to produce a report in August 2021 which will be shared publicly, and will help to inform future strategies to help improve the health and wellbeing of Londoners.
Benefits for attending:
The focus groups are designed to give a platform to capture the diverse voices of Londoners and elicit their thoughts and perceptions in relation to London’s response to tackling inequalities. There will be opportunities to review the impact of the vaccination engagement activities, and other COVID-19 response interventions, to help to shape recommendations to system partners about changes that they would like to see going forward.
What will be done with the information gathered?:
Each focus group session will be recorded and transcribed to allow for thematic analysis to inform the foundation of a report that captures insights from all the engagement events.
Agenda and papers will be shared in advance to all delegates – further information and details of all the different engagement sessions can be found in the invite here.
Please do confirm your attendance emailing London.HEST@phe.gov.uk and indicate which webinar you would like to attend.
