Bethlem Glallery - Linocut Printing Workshop

Saturday 03 July 2021
10:30 to 12:30

Bethlem Gallery

Date and time: Saturday 3 July, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Location: Bethlem Gallery, Monks Orchard Road, Beckenham, BR3 3BX

Learn the basics of linocut printing, inspired by the bold work of Bethlem artist Esther Maxwell-Orumbie. At the workshop, you will be creating vibrant prints and experimenting with a variety of papers and coloured inks. You will take home a lino block and several copies of your own linocut print (please note they may take a little time to dry after the workshop).

This workshop will be Covid safe in a large well-ventilated room, attendees are asked to wear a facemask and observe social distancing. Numbers are limited to 5 people, so if you are unable to attend please let Bethlem Gallery know so someone else can use the place. No art experience necessary. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting messy or bring along an apron.

This is the first workshop in Bethlem Gallery's new series led by artist Beth Hopkins. Each month, they will take inspiration from a different Bethlem Gallery artist, using their work as a jumping off point to create our own artworks and develop new ideas. Keep an eye out for details of future workshops in Bethlem Gallery's newsletter, social media and on their Eventbrite page.
