Talk by Amy Siddall
Clinical Nurse Specialist (mental health nurse) working in the ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) Service which is part of the Maudsley Centre for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders. Working with ARFID for the past 7 years.
Challenges around food and eating are common in children and young people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), and advice from family, friends and even professionals can be confusing. This talk will help provide some clarity on when to be concerned and how parents can access support, manage some of the challenges they face and advocate for their child in settings such as schools.
