Community Links Bromley is hosting an online event to engage with groups on the Violence Against Women and girls action plan

South Area BCU have created a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Community engagement team to tackle crimes committed, such as domestic abuse and sexual violence, against females. Currently, a presentation has been created summarising the Commissioner’s action plan for policing objectives surrounding VAWG.

The main themes that will be focused on are as follows: (full action plan here)

  1. Protecting women and girls in public spaces, at home and online
  2. Working with partners and women to improve prevention and victim care
  3. Bringing offenders to justice and improving criminal justice outcomes for victims
  4. Improving Met culture and professional standards

The team would like to present these points to groups in the community to obtain vital feedback on the action plan and create positive change in your local neighbourhood as well as Met-wide. This is your opportunity to have your voice heard.

Date and time: Thursday 6th January, 2.30pm - 4.00pm
