Bromley Council are pleased to announce a further round of the Innovation Fund with a focus on innovation to deliver day opportunities. Social isolation can affect many elderly people and especially Post Covid, some residents require assistance with meaningful activities and opportunities to support their health and wellbeing and access to the local community.

Many services have had to find different ways of engaging with our residents, whilst dealing with an increase in demand for advice and assistance. We are therefore asking bids for this year’s Innovation Fund to focus on any of the following areas which may have been intensified by the pandemic:

  1. Reducing social isolation and loneliness
  2. Helping people to improve their health and wellbeing
  3. Supporting carers
  4. Supporting young people (16+) as they transition into adulthood
  5. Promoting and supporting volunteering
  6. Providing day opportunities for vulnerable adults and older people.

We are looking for innovative, and creative new projects that have not been tried or tested previously, and could offer premises to deliver activities, should they be required.

In the first instance please contact Maya.vadgama@bromley.gov.uk to discuss your ideas (to ensure they meet the Council’s requirements).
