Gypsy, Roma and Travellers in Education – A Bromley view
Thursday 10 November 2022
14:30 to 17:00
Learn more about students who are from a Gypsy, Roma or Traveller (GRT) background and how you can better support them
The needs of pupils from a GRT background may be different to other students at your school. During this event, you will learn more about the local GRT heritage and how schools in Bromley have adapted practice to accommodate and support GRT students and their families. There will be a presentation from a Roma Traveller sharing his educational experience and we hope that this inspiring talk will help you to understand your pupils better. We will also look at safeguarding, transition to secondary school and raise your cultural awareness. We hope you find this event an ideal opportunity to learn from colleagues and to network with others.
