Digital Inclusion workshop
Monday 17 July 2023
09:45 to 12:15
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a digital inclusion workshop in Bromley on Monday 17th July 2023, 9:45 - 12:15 at Community House, South Street, Bromley, BR1 1RH.
The challenges of digital exclusion are already having an impact on the daily lives of many of our residents, with the gap between those with and without access to the internet widening.
Internet providers, the voluntary and community sector, the Mayor of London, and Local Authorities all have crucial roles to play, and action is needed more than ever.
The workshop will provide a space and opportunity to discuss digital challenges faced by residents and service users, along with service developments. We will be discussing emerging solutions such as digital hubs; a Digital Champions network for Bromley; social tariffs and genuinely affordable access to the internet for older Londoners on low incomes; accelerating access to digital skills training to increase confidence online would make the single biggest difference; broadband contracts and some of the emerging offers from the voluntary and community sector.
