KAB: Feel The Beat workshops with Jodie Cole Dance

Friday 01 September 2023
14:00 to 16:00

“Feel The Beat” are upcoming dance and motion theatre workshops at the Marlowe theatre, and Kent Asociation for the Blind (KAB) are looking for people who either enjoy dancing or would like to try something different in a safe and fun environment. The workshops will be led by Jodie Cole who has over 10 years' experience creating accessible dance experiences for deaf, disabled, and non-disabled participants and audiences.

For their next project, they will be embedding audio description & multi-sensory experiences to make dance more accessible for visually impaired people – and this is where KAB are inviting you to take part. In these workshops you will learn fun and upbeat routines, play dance games, and move your body in ways that feel good to you. All these exercises will be accessible, inclusive, and fun.

The dates for these workshops will be Friday 1st September 2023, 2.00 - 4.00pm and Monday 4th September 2023, 10.30am - 12.30pm.  Please note that you’ll need to be able to get there independently.

If you’d be interested in going along to one of these sessions, get in touch with Madeleine at madeleine.gray@kab.org.uk or on 01227 763366. First come first served.
