Earth Day 2024: Guerilla Gardening - Make Your Own Seed Bombs

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22nd to demonstrate support for environmental protection. As stewards of a green, public space the Trust are very much aware of environmental issues, so Crystal Palace Park Trust are presenting this Earth Day event to help encourage positive environmental action!

Guerilla gardening refers to the practice of enouraging plant growth in unusual spaces or those places which are currently uncared for. For this event, led by members of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and supported by Crystal Palace park Trust, They'll be creating our own "seed bombs" - small balls of earth which contain native wildflower seeds which participants can deposit in the park (with our permission), or take away to deposit easily deposit in their own gardens or literally anywhere else.

This event is suitable for people of all ages and experience levels, all you need to bring is your hands and be ready to get a little muddy.
