Annie Lyons and Kerry Barret in conversation - Orpington Literary Festival

Tuesday 14 May 2024
11:00 to 12:00

Join local authors Annie Lyons and Kerry Barrett as they discuss their books, their writing and inspiration, as part of Orpington Literary Festival.

After twelve years working in bookselling and publishing, Annie Lyons’ debut novel, Not Quite Perfect, became a number one bestseller. Her 2020 novel, Eudora Honeysett is Quite Well, Thank You was a USA Today bestseller and her most recent book, The Air Raid Book Club has been translated into seven languages. When not working on her novels, Annie teaches creative writing courses at venues within Beckenham Place Park.

Kerry Barrett is a writer and journalist. She spent more than 10 years as features editor of All About Soap magazine, writing about EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and still writes about television for various entertainment websites. In 2013 Kerry published her first novel, Like A Charm. She’s gone on to write several dual timeline stories, where a mystery from the past is solved in the present day. As Posy Lovell, she has written historical sagas about Kew Gardens, and the Singer Sewing Machine factory. And her two loves – books and telly – combined when she got the chance to write two Emmerdale spin-off novels. Kerry lives in London with her husband and two teenage sons.
