‘Making a Difference’ - Black History Month
Saturday 19 October 2024
Your Bromley will be celebrating Black History Month with an exciting range of activities. Our theme is for this one day to be about everything making a real, long-term difference.
The day will see live music from Steel Pan in Motion, family friendly workshops, stalls and food sellers on the High Street as well as craft sellers and Black Heroes Foundation in Bromley Central Library running into the early evening. There will be a chance to make even more of a difference in The Glades Central Atrium where the charity ACLT, the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust, will be screening potential stem cell, blood and organ donors to help save lives and the Bromley Rotary Club will be holding an exhibition demonstrating their work helping children in Caribbean communities. By popular demand, Darren Springer, local business owner and our star compere of the show last year, will be back to help make the day go with enthusiasm, good humour and fun!
