Come and learn new stitches and techniques, get inspired by festive patterns, and connect with fellow crochet enthusiasts. Their talented instructors Charlotte and Kim (who is a left handed crocheter) will guide you through various projects to help you unleash your creativity.

You will make one of each item and leave with the skills to carry on making at home or joining our various Knit & Crochet groups to continue your journey. There will be a selection of projects to chose from. You should be able to complete 4 small projects on the day. Some items may only take 30 mins while others could take 1.5hrs. If you do not complete your projects we will be able to further support you via our Knit & Crochet groups.

This workshop is open to all crocheters but it is not for absolute beginners (if you are a beginner, please see our classes). You need to be able to chain, double crochet and treble crochet to join the workshop but you do not need to be an expert. We have carefully chosen the projects so that people who know the basics can improve on their existing skills. Equally those of you who are experienced crocheters will enjoy the day as well!

We will also show you how to use your crochet creations in various ways. You can create Christmas bunting, decorate jars or upcycle an existing jumper or top into a Christmas Jumper with one or more of your creations.

We will provide all of the materials to make your creations including buttons or eyes etc where needed. When you make the fingerless gloves, you will only make one during the session but you will take home the materials to finish off the pair.

You will need to bring your own crochet hooks. It would be good to have a selection, suggested 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm,4.5mm. You do not need to have them all and we may have some that you can borrow at the Hub.

Refreshments will be provided. G&C will be taking a 30 min break for lunch which you can bring with you or there are plenty of places to pick something up in the Glades.
