Impactful Storytelling and Introduction to CANVA workshops
Impactful Storytelling and Introduction to CANVA are two complementary workshops designed to help Bromley's voluntary and community organisations communicate their work more effectively.
In the first session, we'll cover how to identify your key messages, tell authentic stories, and engage audiences through social media. The follow-up Canva workshop will show you how to turn those stories into eye-catching graphics and visual content using Canva's simple design tools.
These sessions provide a practical introduction to creating compelling content that raises your profile, strengthens engagement, and showcases your organisation's impact.

Both workshops will take place at Bromley Health and Wellbeing Centre, Ravensleigh House, 22 Westmoreland Place, Bromley, BR1 1DS.
Penge & Anerley Grassroots Network - Volunteering Skills Share
Bring your ideas, experience and expertise to our Volunteering Skills Share event where we'll discuss:
- How to recruit more volunteers
- How to encourage and retain the ones you've got
- Building a culture of 'giving back' in Penge and Anerley
Come with questions. Leave with lots of ideas!
There are two sessions planned. Feel free to come for one, or both!

Penge and Anerley Grassroots Network events
Held both in person and online, the meet-ups highlighted a shared belief that working together can boost visibility, sustainability, and volunteering.
Going forward, the network will host quarterly events to raise the profile of local grassroots work, strengthen connections between people and groups, and support peer learning and collaborative problem-solving.

Free access to NHS spaces
The South East London Integrated Care Board and local partners are working together to make better use of NHS buildings by offering vacant rooms for free to grassroots VCSE organisations, giving them accessible space to run activities that support local communities.
