Early in 2024, London Youth partnered with Community Links Bromley and Bromley Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum to offer small grants of up to £5,000 to local groups that addressed the issue of funding and support for cold spots in outer London boroughs.
We are pleased to announce details of the groups that were successful in gaining awards and who are now delivering on each of the projects.
The Maypole Project
£3,860.00 - funding towards Maypole’s expansion of their therapeutic work with children and young people with complex medical needs and disabilities.
CASPA
£718.06 - funding to assist with swimming trips as part of the holiday scheme.
Orpington Football Club
£4,011.81 - funding to firmly establish the Young Leaders program in Orpington FC.
Play Place InnoV8 CIC
£4,168.20 - funding towards expanding the Youth Participation Project to include more areas across Bromley.
Project 4 Youth Empowerment CIC
£3,348.99 - funding towards delivering creative arts skills and therapeutic mentoring to young people in schools and providing them with the opportunity to explore a career in Radio Presenting,
Trafalgar Entertainment Trust
£4,142.50 - funding for a special bursary scheme supporting 10 young people to attend a specialist week long youth theatre programme at the Churchill Theatre.
