At Community Links Bromley, we know how important it is to say ‘thank you’ to all the volunteers across the borough. Often, it’s the only reward volunteers are looking for.
The Volunteer Awards is an annual event where we celebrate and recognise our wonderful volunteering community here in Bromley. It is our opportunity to thank Bromley volunteers for the incredible contribution they make to their organisations, and the wider community.
We hosted the 16th Annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony on 25th September 2025. It was a celebration of the incredible people who make Bromley a better place. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to make the event so special, and of course to the dedicated volunteers for their time, passion, and commitment.
Congratulations to our winners:
From the very beginning of volunteering for Living On Bereavement Service, Ceri has been a pillar of compassion and strength, supporting grieving children and families with dedication and care. As a SEND teacher, mum, and long-time volunteer, she’s offered one-to-one support in schools and helped lead countless family events.
-
Saanchi
A true powerhouse of passion and purpose, Saanchi has shown exceptional commitment to Mandir – The Lotus (Yog Foundation). Through her leadership in youth initiatives, she’s empowered over 150 young people with mentorship and career guidance—planting seeds of confidence and ambition.
Her vision brought together 500+ attendees and 50 volunteers for a spectacular Holi Festival, filling the community with colour, joy, and unity. And as an accomplished Indian classical dancer, Saanchi has graced 50+ events and inspired cultural pride through teaching and performance.
- Thomas
Thomas has had a transformative impact on Green Street Green Rovers and the wider community over the past three years.
Through his dedication as Sunday League Manager, they have created a safe, inclusive space where young men can connect, build friendships, and openly discuss mental health challenges. Their lived experience has shaped a supportive environment where every team member feels seen and valued, both on and off the pitch.
Thomas commitment goes far beyond football—personally ensuring players can get to training and matches, fostering a sense of belonging, and building a true community around the sport. Thanks to his leadership, Green Street Green Rovers has become more than just a team; it’s a thriving hub of connection, wellbeing, and local pride.
The hard work and determination of the volunteer team at Bank of America made a huge difference to the accessibility and care of Woodcraft Folks Cudham’s grounds.
From their very first session – with just two volunteers, they worked tirelessly with a ‘can-do’ attitude – they inspired others to join. Soon, 15 corporate volunteers were on site on the hottest day of the year, tackling tough jobs like landscaping, building accessible pathways, and weeding around 340 trees to help them thrive.
Their efforts have transformed the space, making it more welcoming and accessible for everyone.
Anaish's leadership at Magpie Dance has been transformative — from steering a major Arts Council England bid to strengthening governance and supporting the team. Thanks to their dedication, Magpie Dance will continue empowering people with learning disabilities through dance and creativity.
Grahasm has dedicated over 13 years to Citizens Advice Bromley, primarily serving as an Advice Session Supervisor at Anerley, one of the borough’s most deprived areas.
His calm and supportive leadership has helped train, mentor, and retain a confident team of volunteer advisers, ensuring that vulnerable residents receive high-quality, empathetic support on issues such as benefits, housing, and debt.
His professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact on both clients and colleagues, strengthening the service and bringing hope to those who need it most.
Abbi is a selfless and dedicated member of the pediatric department at Kings College Hospital, always going above and beyond to support children and their families during what can be a stressful time.
From organising activities for children waiting for surgery to keeping families informed and reassured, she brings warmth, kindness, and a smile to everything they do.
Her proactive approach and genuine care make a huge difference, and the whole team is incredibly grateful for her support.
