As the Volunteer Centre for the London Borough of Bromley, Community Links Bromley provides support to volunteer-involving organisations and provides volunteering advice for residents.
- We can support you through offering volunteer management advice and promoting your organisation's volunteer roles via our online volunteer database.
- We deliver bitesize volunteer management workshops/training throughout the year
- We deliver volunteer management forums, where you will have the opportunity to network with other Volunteer Managers, share ideas and best practice.
- We host an annual volunteer awards ceremony to celebrate Bromley's volunteers.
- We will be hosting volunteer involvement fairs – this will be a combination of on-line and face to face. These fairs are a perfect way for organisations to meet potential volunteers.
Introducing: The Best Practice Clinic
Welcome to the Best Practice Clinic – your new regular spotlight on practical volunteer management.
We’ll share bite-sized tips, tools, and ideas to support your work with volunteers – from DBS to digital roles, supervision to safeguarding, micro-volunteering to recognition.
Whether you’re new to managing volunteers or a seasoned pro, this space is for you – to learn, reflect, and try out new approaches that make a difference.
Corporate volunteering
We are reaching out to let you know that we have corporate volunteers available to support your organisation on an ad-hoc basis. We have started to receive enquiries from corporate teams who are eager to participate in practical volunteering activities. These teams are available to help with a variety of practical tasks as needed.
Whether it's gardening, painting, clean-ups, sorting, or other hands-on tasks, our corporate volunteers are willing and ready to lend a hand. If you have any ad-hoc projects or tasks that need doing over the coming months, please do get in touch with us at admin@communitylinksbromley.org.uk. We would love to connect you with these enthusiastic corporates.
We were thrilled to see a fantastic team from One Savings Bank (OSB) Group roll up their sleeves and spend the day volunteering at Leonard Cheshire Care Home, in June 2025; the team made a real impact and brought smiles to residents and staff alike! Check them out below:

This research, commissioned by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and conducted by The Young Foundation, seeks to improve understanding of the ways in which volunteers were mobilised at local authority levels in England during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the overarching aim to support future policy development on volunteering.
Help us improve our services to volunteer involving organisations
For several years CLB has hosted Bromley's Volunteer Co-ordinators' Network which is a forum for individuals who recruit, supervise or manage volunteers.
CLB wants to review this forum to ensure it still meets the needs of its members and we would really appreciate it if you could complete this short survey:
Your input could make a difference to how the Network is structured in the future and the subject matters that are discussed and shared.
